The American Warnock is send to Afghanistan to protect American interests and is more and more drawn into the conflict
and asked by "his friend" Abdullah to provide them with state-of-the-art weapons to fight the Russians As it turns out
the Afghan leaders try to gain power not only over the Russians but also over other Afghan tribes. Warnock encounters
the Russian Gromov and the Brit Craig who also try to protect their countries interests in the conflict. At the end
they all loose out as much as their ally Abdullah Khan on a personal level as the countries on the political arena.
