Two men both with the name of Alexander Ivanov are kept in one cell in a mental institution,
because one is hearing an orchestra and the other one has supported a friend who was arrested for
his political believes and refused to give in to torture and pressure from the authorities. His son oppressed in
a borstal for his behaviour tries to persuade him to give in to be freed. The director of the institution is more
an enthusiatisc violin player than a doctor and tries to stay out of politics.
